Thunderbolt PFA Events (listed alphabetically)
BinGlow – A fun twist on regular Bingo! The lights are down and the glow sticks, glow necklaces, glow bracelets and glow balloons are, well - glowing! Families enjoy bingo, winners enjoy some great prizes, and snacks and drinks are served to all.
Breakfast with Santa – Enjoy a hot breakfast and a personal visit & photograph with Santa. There are holiday crafts for the kids, a silent auction, Wonderland Holiday Shop, breakfast, music and of course, a picture with Santa!
Direct Donation Fundraiser – This is the annual fundraiser for the PFA. 100% of all funds collected stay at Thunderbolt. The PFA raises money to help supplement the school budget. We provide funding for supplemental curriculum materials for all grade levels, the Accelerated Reading Program, Run/Walk Program, Honor Roll Awards and School and Community events.
Earth Day Fun Run & Campus Cleanup – 1-mile fun run on TBE’s beautiful campus followed by a campus beautification project. Kids receive a finisher ribbon and special token at Run/Walk for participating. After the run, we have a community campus beautification that could consist of mulching, weeding, planting and cleaning up around the campus.
Fall Festival – Thunderbolt PFA’s Fall Festival is on the first Saturday in November from 2-6pm. The Festival has games, bounce houses, petting zoo, face painting, field sports, picture booth and lots of entertainment. There is a teacher led bake sale and the Book fair is open for business.
Game Night – Students and parents are invited to join us for a night filled with family games. On Game Night, we break out our collection of board games and let you and your family have fun. The games are set out on the tables and you are welcome to play whichever one(s) you’d like, either with your friends and family or with other TBE families. Snacks and drinks are provided.
Honor Roll Ice Cream Socials – A and A/B Honor Roll students enjoy a special ice cream treat for Quarters 1 and 2 and an ice cream social for Quarter 3.
Kindergarten Popsicles on the Playground – Rising Kindergartens meet their future classmates on the playground! This is an informal meet and greet that is held on the Kindergarten playground after school orientation. Parents and students will have a chance to meet new friends before the first day of school.
Sixth Grade Dance – A great way to celebrate our 6th graders during their last days in Elementary School.
Teacher Appreciation Week – A fun week in May where we show our teachers how much we appreciate them with a different theme each day.
Valentine’s Day Paint Night – This will be a fun & easy step-by-step class that will teach you and your child how to create your own one-of-a-kind masterpiece!
Volunteer & Room Parent Meeting – This meeting is for any parent who plans on volunteering during the school year for the teacher, school and/or PFA. Enjoy breakfast while attending the volunteer orientation. The orientation goes over the volunteer handbook, provides information valuable to room parents, classroom volunteers and PFA volunteers, as well have sign-up sheets for volunteer opportunities.
Wonderland Holiday Shoppe – This is an in-school holiday shop that give students a fun and safe environment where they can experience the thrill of “secretly” buying gifts for family and friends. The holiday shop is open during the Breakfast with Santa event and during the school week. Parent volunteers help students follow their budget and purchase gifts for the holidays.
